 Director Update

Dan Fazio, Director
Spring is quickly approaching, everyone is busy and excited, so let's get to it! First, we hope you like the refreshed look of our newsletter. Next, I am excited to announce we have recently hired five new upper management employees to better serve you, including the new position of CEO. Learn more

Most importantly, I hope you have seen our "Call to Action" emails about the importance of keeping ag immigration reform included with any DACA fix. One was sent on February 13 and the other February 26. It is critical that you contact your congressional leaders right now and ask them to co-sponsor the Secure America's  Future (SAF) Act, HR 4760, which includes a fantastic legal worker program for farmers and a good DACA fix. Watch your inbox for continued communications.

Last, we pride ourselves on being the only trade association in the pacific northwest that produces an annual webinar curriculum dedicated to regulatory education and outreach specifically for seasonal and Ag employers. This season we are offering two webinar packs -  HR Essentials and H-2A Essentials kicking off April 10. These webinars are presented by attorneys, regulators and other leading voices in labor and employment matters. We highly encourage anyone that is utilizing the guest worker program through wafla to purchase a combo pack. Learn more and access the webinar schedule and course curriculum here now! I guarantee that once you view it, you will surely see the incredible value. Purchase one time and be set for the season. Recieve reminders, join links and valuable handouts, as well as post-webinar recordings in case you missed the live presentation. Don't miss out on utilizing this amazing member perk to ensure you are in regulatory compliance.

As always, thank you for being a wafla member!

Best Regards,

Dan Fazio,

Q.  Do you have a template letter we can give to employees explaining the new WA Paid Sick Leave Law?

It is available for download at the Apple App Store. Search for “Wild Apricot for Member” app. Do not download the "Wild Apricot Admin" app, that one is for wafla staff.
