Latest Form I-9 Published Today
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published the latest Form I-9 today. Below is additional information and instructions from USCIS concerning the transition to the new Form I-9.

USCIS released the latest From I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, today July 17. Employers will be able to use this revised version or continue using From I-9 with a revision date of 11/14/16 N through Sept. 17. On Sept. 18, employers must use the revised form with a revision date of 07/17/17 N. Employers must continue following existing storage and retention rules for any previously completed Form I-9.

It contains a minor addition to the List C documents:

USCIS added FS-240 to the forms of “Certification of report of birth issued by the Department of State (Forms DS-1350, FS-545, FS-240).
