Member Relations Coordinator
A major new program providing labor and employment support for the dairy industry requires a new position. This position requires a person who enjoys working with farmers and farm managers, is outgoing, has familiarity with agricultural labor, can travel around the state, and spend occasional nights away from home. The Member Relations Coordinator promotes membership, products and services and works with the Member Relations Manager in Yakima. The position offers a company car (or reimbursement for use of personal vehicle), and pays a salary of $36,000 - $48,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. Outstanding computer skills are a must. Bilingual and college education are a plus. Position is open immediately.
Training Manager & Training Assistant
The association offers comprehensive labor and employment advice for members, and needs trainers in North Central Washington.
The successful candidate for Training Manager will have familiarity with labor and employment regulations, and will be comfortable training small groups. Bilingual is a plus. Starting salary is $30,000 - $48,000 DOE.
The Training Assistant is a person who is interested in human resources and ready to make the leap out of the fields or the packing lines and into the office! Bilingual is a plus. Starting wage is $12 - $16 per hour DOE.
Legal Summer Intern
Seattle & Olympia
An exciting summer internship researching government agencies and public disclosure laws is available for eight – twelve weeks starting in May. As part of the internship, you will have the opportunity to be mentored by former State Supreme Court Justice Phil Talmadge in Seattle and attend meetings at the wafla office in Olympia. The successful candidate will be motivated to understand labor and employment regulations, the execution of a successful Public Disclosure Act campaign, and the relationship between the legal services industry and farmers. The position pays $15 - $20 per hour and is open to any 1L, 2L, or 3L who is seeking an internship that may lead to a job offer at one of the fastest growing associations in the Pacific Northwest.
